Also, unless you have been living in a cave .you must have fell upon the more popular show of current times called ‘Dirilis: Ertugrul.’ The five seasons can also be watched on Netflix, where the show is titled ‘Resurrection: Ertugrul.’

    To cut a long story short, the show chronicles the life events of Ertugrul. The man who lives in the 12th Century and is the father of the Ottoman Empire founder Osman. The show is currently in its 5th season now, which is ongoing.

    The show is loaded with correct Muslim values and portrays the Islamic values the way that it should be exhibited.

    This show is breaking records in Pakistan. Pakistani people  slove this show and its extremely magnetic cast of characters which keeps viewers hooked to their TV screens.

    The Sources

    Fans of the series will be amazed to learn that the actual source material behind Ertugrul was only 7 pages long. The writers had to do a lot of research to find out significant and reliable sources regarding the historical figure and his age.

    Intense Training

    There was no way Dirilis Ertugrul could be recorded if it didn’t have action scenes. For the stunts and fights, the cast had to go through passionate training sessions to master the art of mounted archery and sword fighting. A special team from Kazakhstan was hired to train the cast.

    Engin Altan Düzyatan (Ertugrul) took horse riding lessons for 3 months and never thought he would be able to shoot arrows while riding. But he learned those skills and did a pretty inspiring job.

    Off-Screen Relationships

    Actor Engin Altan Düzyatan shared in an interview that he did not only had to train physically but also studied the character of Ertugrul spiritually and emotionally.

    He spent a lot of time with the actors who played Ertugrul’s mentors in the series, to ensure that his relationship and chemistry with them would naturally come out on camera.

    Emotional Moments on Sets

    Every character’s exit from the series was a moment of sorrow for the entire cast and squad. That is because they had become a family while filming and it was very hard for them to bid farewell.

    Serdar Gökhan who plays the role of Suleyman Shah in the series was especially emotional on the sets. On his last of filming, the directors showered him with hugs and admirations and sent him off with memories to relish.

    President Erdogan’s Visit at the shooting site

    Since it was a project of Turkey’s national television network, President Erdogan himself visited the sets of Dirilis Ertugrul along with his wife and daughter.
